Android Gingerbread 2.4 Seen on ViewPad 4
Well for all those who were wondering about the elusive Android 2.4 Gingerbread, there is good news in store. ViewSonic unveiled their ViewPad 4 which running Android 2.4 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.
ViewSonic confirmed that Android 2.4 would also be called Gingerbread. Initially the ViewPad 4, which was unveiled at CES 2011, was supposed to run on Android 2.2 Froyo.
The ViewPad 4 features a large 4.1-inch WVGA display, Wi-Fi, 5MP camera on the back, VGA front-facing camera for video calling, mini HDMI port, Mini USB, and a 1GHz Qualcomm processor.
Unfortunately the features of the Android 2.4 were not revealed. In spite of knowing next to nothing about the operating system (OS) its very existence has caused excitement.
