Nokia launches the E6 and X7 smartphones

Nokia launched the X7 and the E6 smartphones running on Nokia's latest Symbian Anna operating system today. The launch was a star studded event with Gul Panag, Soha Ali Khan, Diandra Soares and Sagarika Ghatge in attendance.

The new Symbian Anna will feature new icons and multiple under-the-hood user interface enhancements which include a faster web browser, refurbished OVI maps, improved text inputs and higher security.

The Nokia E6 will become the first 'Touch and Type' QWERTY smartphone. The device features glass and stainless steel in its construction, a high resolution 2.36-inch display and will have support Microsoft messaging services. It will also have a full focus 8-megapixel camera which will be able to shoot at 720p and will feature 8 gigabytes of internal memory apart from expandable memory through a micro-SD card slot.

The Nokia X7 will focus more on multimedia with a large 4 -inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 640x360 and an 8-megapixel camera featuring 720p HD recording capabilities. The device will come preloaded with Galaxy on Fire HD and Asphalt 5 HD games.

The E6 is available in the market for Rs 18,679 and will be available in black, white and silver. The X7 is available Rs 22,829 and will be available in the dark steel and light steel colors.
